A rude awakening for some when a train derailed in Harvey Station.
Harvey Mayor Winston Gamblin operates W.E. Smith’s Country Store and lives next to the tracks.
He heard noise from the derailment just before 6 a.m. Thursday morning.
On Twitter, RCMP said Route 3 was back open to traffic just before 12 p.m.
In his many years as the village mayor, Gamblin said he has never heard of a derailment.
“It’s something new to look at. Lots of people have come down to look at it,” Gamblin said.
Route 3 near Cedar Ln is now open. #HarveyStation
