Tories Ask Liberals “Where’s The Money For Downtown Centre?”

Highfield Square has been torn down and now a huge empty lot sits in downtown Moncton.

When in government, the provincial Conservatives pledged funding for a proposed downtown entertainment centre but now in opposition they are asking “Where’s the money?”

The Gallant Liberal government has not yet made a financial commitment.

Tory MLA for Moncton Northwest Ernie Steeves believes most residents want to see this project get off the ground.

Steeves says the proposed centre is much needed to help make the downtown core stronger.

Metro Moncton MP Robert Goguen pledged last week that federal support for the project depends on the Gallant government.
