Tim Horton’s Food Drive Leads Santa Claus Parade

Volunteers from Tim Horton’s and media outlets including 91.9 The Bend will be spreading out to collect non-perishable food items during today’s Royale Greater Moncton Santa Claus Parade.

Spectators are being asked to support one of the biggest food drives of the year for Food Depot Alimentaire.

Corey Craig Group spokesperson Megan LeBlanc says the Tim Horton’s float and its volunteers will lead off the parade.

Over the past seven years, she says about 40,000 pounds of food has been collected with almost 5,000 pounds last year alone for the community.

The Tim Horton’s volunteers will start collecting a few minutes before the parade begins at 5pm at the corner of Cameron and Main Streets.
