Three Men Charged After Home Invasion In Esgenoôpetitj First Nation

Three men have been charged following a home invasion and shooting in Esgenoôpetitj First Nation.

Mounties say two men wearing masks entered a home on Bayview Drive on Jan. 15.

A 23-year-old man was shot during the incident and was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say three 22-year-old men were arrested in Burnt Church this past week.

Michael Vienneau and Christopher Ward, both of Esgenoôpetitj First Nation, and Adam Drysdelle of Village Saint-Laurent are charged with robbery with a firearm.

All three remain in custody and have a bail hearing on Feb. 2.
