Three Earthquakes Strike Off Coast Of Vancouver Island, British Columbia

No damage is reported after three consecutive earthquakes struck about 208 kilometres west south-west of Port Alice, British Columbia.

The Earthquakes Canada site says the first a magnitude 6.5 was 10 km deep and hit around 10:30 last evening Pacific time and the second and third which were between 6.5 and 6.8 hit shortly after.

No tsunami warnings were issued from the quakes. Port Alice is on Vancouver Island.
