Three Arrested In Relation To Counterfeit $100 Bills

Codiac RCMP has arrested three people in connection with the passing of counterfeit $100 bills to businesses in the Moncton area.

Since January 16th, the RCMP have received six reports of local merchants getting fake Canadian hundreds.

On Sunday, police arrested three men, 18, 20 and 22 years old, and all three have since been released on conditions.

Police are advising all local merchants and the public to carefully examine any $100 Canadian bills with a specific serial number as some bills may yet remain in circulation.

That number is EKR2223601.

Anyone with information that could help the investigation into counterfeit bills in the Moncton area is asked to contact the Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400.
