The Emergency Department at the Sackville Memorial Hospital will be temporarily closed over the next couple of days.
Due to a physician shortage, the Department will not seeing patients between 4 p.m. today and 8 a.m on Saturday.
Clients and ambulances during these night shifts will be diverted to other hospitals.
In the coming weeks, up to eight overnight shifts at this Emergency Department do not have physician coverage.
If coverage is not found for these dates, the Emergency Department will again need to temporarily close.
Sackville Memorial is also one of 6 hospitals in the province that will be closing their ERs overnight, as of next month.
