Team NB Set To Compete At 2022 Canada Summer Games

Team New Brunswick athletes are set to compete over the next couple of weeks in Ontario.

A total of 346 athletes, 80 coaches, managers and technical staff, and 20 mission team members will represent our province from August 6 to 21 in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

The Canada Summer Games were initially scheduled to be held in August last year but were postponed due to the pandemic.

They alternate every two years between summer and winter games and are one of the largest multi-sports events held in Canada.

The Games feature 18 sports over a 16-day period involving more than 5,000 Canadian athletes, coaches and managers.

Sports on the competition calendar for New Brunswick include athletics, baseball, basketball, beach volleyball, box lacrosse, canoe kayak, cycling, golf, mountain bike, rowing, rugby sevens, sailing, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, triathlon, volleyball, and wrestling.
