The CRTC says Canadians will no longer have to provide advance notice to change their television services.
The government regulator says the ruling kills the 30 day notice period some companies, like Shaw, required prior to cancelling services. Tbaytel spokesperson Katie Crowe says it’s something their cable TV subscribers haven’t had to worry about since they don’t require such a cancellation notice period.
She says it brings the cancellation rules in line right across the country.
