Last week I took a tour of BGC Moncton!
BGC Moncton has been around for almost 70 years, with a mission to “provide a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience opportunities and overcome barriers, build positive relationships, and develop confidence and skills in life”
They achieve this mission by the number of programs they offer:
Afterschool programs offer a safe and engaging place where children can enjoy activities such as STEM activities, arts and crafts, gym time, and so much more! There are even pickups available at schools as well (more details on their website).
Educational support offers a wide range of support for children and youth from ages 6-18 who are in need of support with schoolwork. These include an alternative school which provides targeted support and reintegration assistance for those struggling in school. Touring services for K-8 students.
STEM program provides hands-on learning in coding, robotics and science experiences.
As well as additional support which focuses on personalized support such as mentors, bilingual assistance and career guidance.
While taking a tour around their facility, it is truly a welcoming community with a team that is so enthusiastic about supporting and assisting their students’ future. No matter what program you are in everyone is working and is focused on the future of all.

With summer coming up BGC is running their summer camps all summer longs with 400 Children and 8 Weeks of camp and they are asking for YOUR help!
With 400 children registered and, the cost to support each child is $150 per child, and families only pay $25, they need your help filling the gap!
Their goal is to raise $60,000 before their summer camps start.
