A three day event being held in the Town of Riverview will look at sustainability, while incorporating everything from wastewater, recycling, food, business, and entertainment.
It’s called Sustaina-Palooza.
Director of Economic Development Shane Thomson says it’s not just all about waste, and recycling. Sustainability has a social and economic component as well, and they’re looking for input from residents.
Thomson says from the dialogue that takes place this week, they’ll be implementing some to he ideas and themes into the sustainability plan. They will then launch their vision for the Town of Riverview.
The idea for the event was born last year when Mayor Ann Seamans created a sustainability committee for the Town. Since then they’ve been working to come up with a plan for the community.
