A Sussex woman is $1 million richer thanks to a Lotto 6/49 guaranteed prize.
Donna Steeves recently checked her ticket for the July 9th draw while buying groceries and learned she was a big winner.
“The guy working was just staring at the screen, he didn’t know what to say,” Steeves said. “Eventually, he told me I better call Atlantic Lottery.”
Steeves has a very close relationship with her daughter and was anxious to share the big news with her.
“My daughter was the first one I told when I got home,” Steeves said. “Oh yes, she was pretty excited!
Steeves plans for to assist with her daughter’s wedding in September, purchase a new home, and saving money for her grandson’s education.
She works for a locally owner spice and tea producer based in Sussex and has no plans of retiring just yet.
Steeves purchased her winning Lotto 6/49 ticket at the Atlantic Superstore in Sussex. The retailer will receive a one per cent seller’s prize.
