Sussex flower shop closes after nearly 150 years

A staple in the Sussex business community has closed its doors for good.

Goold’s Flowers Ltd. announced its closure in a Facebook post on Monday.

The fifth-generation business had been in operation for nearly 150 years.

Opening in 1878, the business recently moved back to its original location on Floral Avenue.

The Goold family said it plans to hold a clearance sale in the near future.

In its social media post, the family asked people to continue supporting local businesses.
