The Fredericton Police receiving a report of a suspicious package on Queen Street, between York and Carleton Streets last night.
The surrounding area was closed to pedestrian traffic as a precaution.
After further investigation, it was determined that the package posed no danger to the public, and the area was re-opened shortly after 8:30 p.m.
Members of the Primary Response Team, the Explosive Disposal Unit and members of the RCMP all assisted in the situation.
