An update from the RCMP after a report of suspicious Halloween candy in Moncton’s Evergreen neighbourhood.
Parents found two small misshapen candies wrapped in wax paper that did not appear to be commercially produced.
Codiac Regional RCMP issued an alert to the public, encouraging parents to inspect their children’s treat bags.
Police said they sent a sample of the suspicious candy to a lab for testing.
Results revealed the item contained only harmless elements, and was mainly sugar.
