Summer Workouts For High Schoolers At Planet Fitness

High schoolers are being invited to get active this summer for free.

Stats Can has found only one third of youth between the ages of 12-17 met the Canadian guidelines for children and youth physical activity recommendations during the pandemic.

That is down from the almost 51 per cent pre-pandemic.

Planet Fitness is hoping to change activity levels.

They’re inviting anyone between the ages of 14 and 19 years old to work out at any of its locations until August 31st, as a part of their high school summer pass initiative.

High School Summer Pass was formally known as Teen Summer Challenge, which was the first program of its kind launched in 2019.

That year, more than 900,000 teens signed-up and complete more than 5.5 million workouts over a three-and-a-half-month period across the U.S. and Canada.

High schoolers can visit PlanetFitness.ca/Underpass to register.
