It’s time to get those applications in for arts grants.
Applications for the ArtsSmarts and artist-in-residency school programs are being accepted by the province now with a deadline of September 29th for both.
The grant from the Artist-in-Residency School Program funds art projects that are based on fine arts school performance and are a collaboration between teachers and local artists.
Schools in the Anglophone districts may submit projects in artistic disciplines like media arts, dance and music.

Grants are valued at up to $3000 per residency and five residencies per school district are selected each fiscal year.
The ArtsSmarts is a program that provides students with the opportunity to enhance artistic activities linked to schoool performance.
The program connects students with local artists aiming to works the arts into subjects not related to arts.
The grants are valued at $3000.
