Students Across NB To Vote In Mock Elections

Students in the province are getting the chance to see what it is like to vote.

17,000 youth are expected to cast ballots, during the first ever provincial student vote.

Mock polling stations have been set up at select elementary, middle and high schools in New Brunswick.

Students have been learning about the provincial government and the electoral process as well as the parties, and their platforms.

Participating schools in Greater Moncton include, Harrison Trimble, Claude D. Taylor, Riverview High, Forest Glen and Lewisville Middle School.

In total, more than 200 schools have registered to participate in the mock election, representing all 49 electoral districts. The project is being conducted by CIVIX in partnership with Elections New Brunswick.
