Stroll For Liver Planned For Tomorrow In Moncton

Gary Trainor knows firsthand what it is like to have to wait for a liver transplant.

He had liver cancer and had two transplants six years ago, and he waited 18 months on the waiting list before he got his transplant.

He is now a volunteer with the Canadian Liver Foundation.

He says they’re hoping to create a support group within the Moncton Branch, “It’ll give others the chance to talk about what liver disease they have and they’ll be able to offer them assistance.”

The Stroll for Liver will be held tomorrow. Participants will be walking in Victoria Park.

Registration will be held from 11 until 12, and then the walk takes place from 12 until 3.
