Blood Donations Down Due To Storms And Bad Roads

Weather conditions have taken a toll on blood donations across the province.

Canadian Blood Services has been forced to close for part of the week due to bad roads and weather.

That includes the Mapleton Road clinic which is closed today.

The closures have meant a loss of 305 units of blood that were expected to be collected for patients this week.

Donors are encouraged to check the hours at clinics in Moncton and Saint John for the rest of the week.

Visit Canadian Blood Services online to find out when clinics are open.
