No one was injured in a standoff in Hampstead which lasted more than 20 hours.
The RCMP say it ended peacefully when a 47-year-old Hampstead man was arrested without incident early last night.
He had barricaded himself inside his home the night before and refused to come out. There’s no word on whether he was armed.
RCMP negotiators were brought in and road blocks were set up along Highway 102 near Hampstead Ferry Road which have now been removed.
