Standoff Ends, But No Charges Laid

No charges have been laid after an almost 12 hour standoff in Moncton’s north end.

Codiac RCMP say a man who had reportedly barricaded himself inside a Sable Court home, was taken to hospital after the incident, but he was uninjured.

Police blocked off an area on Evergreen Drive between Shannon Drive and Sheffield Court on Sunday night.

The Canadian Red Cross says sixteen people were evacuated as a precaution.

According to a tweet from RCMP New Brunswick, the standoff ended at around 11:30pm and the area reopened to traffic.
