Spring Arrives In New Brunswick!

After a long and dark winter, spring will finally arrive in New Brunswick on Tuesday afternoon at 1:15.

The vernal equinox marks the period where the length of day is equal to the length of night.

But Environment Canada meteorologist Linda Libby says it won’t really feel much like spring.

“Sunny conditions by the afternoon when spring is expected to arrive. It will be slightly cooler than normal and that is thanks mainly to more of a northwesterly wind,” she notes.

Libby says forecasters are keeping an eye on a storm system that is moving up the Atlantic coast with more snow and wind by early Thursday.

While the short-term forecast is showing colder than normal conditions for the next week or so, Libby believes a warm-up is finally expected by the end of the month.
