New Brunswickers bought more wine and spirits than beer in the last quarter, according to NB Liquor.
Total sales reached $109.4 million, 1.7% higher than the year before.
Wine sales grew 5.1% – up $1.3 million, while spirits sales increased by $900,000, or 3.2 %.
Beer sales on the other hand, dropped 2%, or $900,000.
Coolers and ciders posted an increase of 9.9% as sales rose by half a million dollars.
NB Liquor President and CEO Brian Harriman says their customer first strategy is producing great results, with year over year increase in sales of $7 million.
