Details for a special Remembrance Day event for Moncton in 2015 have been unveiled.
A two day event scheduled to start on the 10th called Lest We Forget – N’oublions Jamais will include a Tribute Dinner as well as a variety of historic military displays, restored military vehicles and live historic vignettes.
Moncton Mayor George LeBlanc says it’s critical to reengage and acknowledge the debt we owe to the military, both past and present.
He says, “They put themselves in the line of fire, and in danger so that we will be safe. Sometimes that danger turns out to very, very tragic, so it is absolutely vital and tremendously important that we recognize their service.”
Funds raised at the fourth Atlantic Maple Leaf Military Tribute event go to organizations that help enhance the lives of current and retired military personnel and their families.
