Some burning restrictions in N.B. to start the long weekend

The Victoria Day Weekend marks the unofficial start of the summer season.

And that can mean fires in the backyard or at the campsite.

But the province is reminding New Brunswickers to keep an eye on burn notices.

As of Friday afternoon, only Carleton, Charlotte, Sunbury and York counties are open for burning.

All other counties are under yellow conditions, meaning burning is permitted between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.

Conditions are updated daily at 2 p.m.

Information can be found at the province’s Fire Watch website.
