A snow shovel will be required for tomorrow.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for parts of New Brunswick, including Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick, Sussex and Kent County.
Meteorologist Barrie MacKinnon says the snow is expected to begin falling Thursday afternoon, “It’s going to come down quite heavy at times, mixing with ice pellets in the evening. It will continue into the overnight and then taper to flurries into the morning. Right now we’re expecting 15 to 20 centimetres.”
High winds with this system could mean reduced visibility at times during the heavy snow.
“We’ll see wind gusts between 40 and 70 kilometres an hour. Might have some reduced visibility in blowing snow. Might make for a mess afternoon commute,” MacKinnon says.
Environment Canada says this system will affect most of the province, but areas along the Fundy Coast will see things changeover to rain, so they are not currently under snowfall warnings.
