Get your shovels and snowblowers ready — we could be in for significant snowfall early this week.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for southern and eastern New Brunswick.
It includes places like Saint John, the Kennebecasis Valley, Sussex, St. Stephen, Fredericton and Moncton.
Andy Firth, a meteorologist with Environment Canada, said we could see five to 10 centimetres of snow throughout the day Monday.
“But that snowfall will continue into the overnight hours Monday and actually into Tuesday morning,” Firth said. “We could get up to a total of 15 centimetres or possibly higher when it’s all done.”

Firth said communities along the Fundy coast should see mainly rain from this storm system.
He said northwesterly winds gusting up to 60 kilometres per hour on Tuesday could lead to blowing snow.
Firth said we can expect sunshine on Wednesday and Thursday before another system brings rain and milder temperatures for Friday.
“It’ll probably take away a significant amount, if not all of the snow that will fall over the next couple of days,” he said.
