Small Business Optimism Gains Considerable Traction In New Brunswick In June

usiness optimism levels in New Brunswick spiked over the last month to levels not seen since early 2015.

The Canadian Federation of Independent Business marked an 8 point jump to 64.9 on their business barometer index.

The report found 21% of business owners are planning to hire additional full time staff, with 10% expecting to cut staffing levels.

CFIB Atlantic Vice President Jordi Morgan says New Brunswick’s strong performance in June is running counter to the downward regional trend.
