Slew Of Accidents In Metro Moncton Amid Slushy Road Conditions

Roads became slushy and slick in Metro Moncton when snow began accumulating during the afternoon drive home yesterday.

That led to a number of accidents including a single vehicle rollover on Highway 15 near the Trans Canada overpass.

Southeast RCMP say it happened around 4pm when a driver lost control in slushy conditions.

Police say three women in the vehicle were taken to hospital with what were believed to be minor injuries.

The accident backed up eastbound traffic as far as the airport at one point.

A number of other accidents occurred in the region yesterday but none were reported as serious.
