There has been yet another substantial jump in fuel prices across New Brunswick.
The Energy and Utilities Board (NBEUB) invoked its interrupter clause Thursday night for the second time this week.
Diesel prices climbed by 13.5 cents to a new maximum of $1.913 per litre.
The price for heating oil is up by 14 cents and is now selling for as much as $1.74 per litre.
Regular self-serve also increased by 8.5 cents to a new maximum of $1.718 per litre.
Several stations in Greater Moncton are selling for over $1.69 this morning.
The fuel hikes are being driven by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The increase comes just one day after the regular weekly setting of prices by the board.
Regular self-serve jumped by 4.4 cents per litre on Wednesday night while diesel increased by just over five cents.
On Tuesday night, NBEUB invoked its interrupter clause to increase furnace oil prices by nearly six cents per litre.

Meanwhile, gas prices in Nova Scotia jumped by 10 cents overnight and now range from just under $1.67 to $1.71 per litre.
The price for diesel jumped by more than 17 cents to between $1.83 and just under $1.88 per litre.
