The Gallant government has made a jobs announcement in Shediac as the lobster festival continues.
Shediac Lobster Shop will create up to eight new jobs with an $88,000 non-repayable contribution from the province.
The company has embarked on a nearly one-million dollar capital expansion which includes upgrades and new equipment.
The third-generation lobster processing facility employs more than 230 people and has been operating in Shediac since 1952.
The company exports to clients throughout North America, Asia and Europe.
