A popular summer event in the region has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Organizers say the 71st edition of the Shediac Lobster Festival, which was scheduled from July 8-12, will not be held this year.
The team says the top priority must be the safety of festivalgoers, staff, volunteers, partners and artists.
Planning will be getting underway soon for the next festival in 2021.
