Setting Goals And Tracking Progress Will Help You Get Back Into Shape

Gyms are always a busy place at this time of year, because one of the most common New Years resolutions, is to get into shape.

Good Life Fitness Manager Jordan McQuinn says working out with someone will help you to reach any goals you have set, “holding yourself accountable. Because you are making this new turn in your life, find yourself a gym buddy or a Personal Trainer and they’ll keep you accountable to your workouts and help you change that habit.”

McQuinn says setting a time each day for your workout is also beneficial.

“Don’t just say you’re going to do your workout tomorrow, say you’re going to do your workout at 5pm, and that just makes your workout more sustainable. You can relate that to anytime you want to change out with a friend. If you say you are going to hang out at 5 o’clock, you are more likely to do so.”

Tracking your progress, and celebrating the small milestones is also helpful. McQuinn says that will help to keep you motivated.
