Sentencing In RCMP Labour Code Conviction Begins Today

Two days has been set aside for a sentencing hearing in the RCMP Labour Code case.

It will get underway in a Moncton courtroom this morning.

The Police force was convicted of failing to properly equip and train its members on June 4, 2014.

That’s when a man shot and killed three RCMP officers and injured two others.

The offence carries a maximum penalty of up to $1 million, a prison term of up to two years or both.
