Second Suspect Arrested In Moncton Armed Robbery

A second suspect in an armed robbery at a Needs store in Moncton has been identified and arrested by Codiac RCMP.

But police say the 22-year-old man has been released from custody on a promise to appear in court in March.

A 15-year-old boy was identified as the first suspect and he pleaded guilty to a charge of committing robbery with a knife last week in youth court.

The teen is being held in custody and will undergo a psychiatric assessment.

Mounties say early morning on October 4th, two males, one of them armed, entered the Needs convenience store on 1036 Mountain Road and demanded money from the clerk and fled with the cash.

No one was hurt.
