Second Man Charged, Third Man Arrested In Fatal Shooting

A second man has been charged and a third man has been arrested in connection with the death of 18-year-old Joedin Leger of Moncton.

The New Brunswick Major Crime Unit arrested a 20-year-old man in the Elgin area on Wednesday.

In court Thursday, 20-year-old Hunter Nash England of Moncton was charged with first degree murder and has been remanded until a court date on June 27.

Also on Thursday, RCMP arrested a 23-year-old man in Moncton in connection with the investigation and he will appear in court on Friday.

Earlier this week, 18-year-old Riley Robert Sheldon Philips of Moncton was charged with first degree murder and has been remanded until a court date on June 27.

The charges stem from shots being fired at a home on Logan Lane in Moncton’s north end on April 25.

Joedin Leger suffered gunshot wounds and later died of his injuries.
