Weather Closes Many Schools In Southern New Brunswick

Your commute to work this morning might be trickier than usual.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Southern New Brunswick.

It calls for a brief but intense snowfall of up to 15 centimetres over a four hour period between 6am, and 10am Wednesday morning.

Snowfall rates could be five centimetres an hour and cause poor visibility.

As a result, schools in Anglophone East are closed today due to weather.
Francophone South Schools are also closed(with the exception of Baie Saint Anne, Fredericton, Miramichi, Saint Louis de Kent, Oromocto, Quispamsis, Richibucto and Saint John)
Schools in Anglophone South are open, but buses are running one hour late.
