School bus recall leads to some cancellations in Moncton

An electric bus recall means some cancelled bus runs in the Anglophone East School District.

Bus runs 63 and 64 serving Evergreen Park, Northrop Frye, Maplehurst and Harrison Trimble are cancelled on Monday afternoon.

It comes after Transport Canada ordered inspections of all LionC school buses due to a series of fires and overheating incidents.

The most recent incident happened last week in Montreal, when a school bus caught fire.

Superintendent Randolph MacLEAN said they do not have enough replacement buses available to cover every impacted route.
