Salisbury Lions Club Looking For Votes In Kraft Play Competition

A pillar in the Salisbury community is trying to win the Kraft Play Competition.

The Salisbury Lions Club Community Pool opened in 1962, and it’s a place where the young and old gather which everyone can depend on.

Veronica Keenan says the Pool desperately needs upgrades, and winning the Kraft Play Competition would help them renovate.

She says the buildings and pool are starting to age, and she has wondered for a couple of years how some money can be raised, because the Lions centre helps so many people.

The buildings and poll are almost 50 years old, and in her opinion, the biggest priority for fixing is the pool itself which is beginning to crack.

The first place prize is $250, 000. Runner ups will receive $25, 000
