Salisbury grocery store reopening expected Friday

A grocery store in Salisbury that was lost to fire is expected to rise from the ashes this week.

Fire destroyed the Walker’s Independent Grocer in September 2025, just six days after new owners purchased it.

Since then, they’ve worked hard to get it rebuilt and open again.

This is the only grocery store in Salisbury.

Social media reports state that the store will reopen at 8 am on Friday.
