The Provincial Conservative leader was before the Saint John Region Chamber of Commerce on Monday talking about what he has in mind for the province.
Blaine Higgs spoke about engaging others in order to help fix the province and went through the Chamber’s We Choose Growth five-point plan.

Higgs says he has heard time and time again from economists who are warning him that spending in the province is out of control.
“They are saying our province is in trouble, you need to have a responsible course that goes beyond the election cycle, working on a 15-20 year program, ” says Higgs.
“Yet Mr. Gallant carries on actually just fighting for his own job, rather than fighting for the province, he’s fighting for his own job” stated the PC Leader.
Higgs says he told the Chamber he will allow any region in the province that wants to benefit from shale gas to do so.
In fact, he says Corridor Resources in the Sussex area has already told him it would put $72 million back into the industry if given the chance.
