Saint John Park to Honour Doug Larche

A green space will honour the memory of the late RCMP Constable Doug Larche who grew up in Saint John and attended high school at St. Malachys. He was one of the RCMP officers shot and killed June 4th in Moncton.

A dedication ceremony and official unveiling for The Larche Memorial Park is coming up on Sunday, October 19th. The park is located on Hillcrest Drive.

Mayor Mel Norton and council, donors, members and family of the RCMP, members of City police and the community will attend and pay special tribute to Constable Larche and his fellow fallen officers Constable Fabrice Gevaudan and Constable Dave Ross.

The park has seen some improvements including a custom-designed granite monument, 12 park benches, maple trees and a flag pole.
