Saint John hosts university swim meet

University swimming teams from across Atlantic Canada are descending on Saint John this weekend.

The UNB REDS are hosting a two-day meet at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre on Saturday and Sunday.

Around 120 to 140 swimmers from UNB, Mount Allison University, Dalhousie University, Acadia University and Memorial University are participating.

Officials said it is the last competition before the upcoming conference championships in February.

Races take place at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday and at 10 a.m. Sunday.
