A 35-year-old Saint-Édouard-de-Kent man has pleaded guilty to second degree murder in connection with a homicide case from 2020.
Marcel Savoie appeared in court yesterday, to face a charge of first degree murder, but that was revoked with the guilty plea.
Sixty-seven-year-old Elias Bastarache was found dead in a home on Route 515 in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent in February of last year.
Savoie will be sentenced in February of 2022.
