Horizon Health Network will close the emergency department at Sackville Memorial Hospital overnight Saturday and Sunday.
The health authority announced in a news release that a shortage of nurses will temporarily close the facility.
From 4 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday as well as 4 p.m. Sunday until 8 a.m. Monday, the Hospital’s ER will be shut.
Anyone that is in need of emergency treatment or being transported by an ambulance will be diverted to another facility.
Regardless of closures, anyone who is experiencing a medical emergency should call 911.
