Sackville man charged with first-degree murder

A Sackville man has been charged with first-degree murder.

RCMP went to a residence on King Street for a well-being check yesterday and found a woman’s body.

The New Brunswick RCMP Major Crime Unit determined her death was a homicide.

In Antigonish, Nova Scotia, later in the afternoon, a 62-year-old man turned himself in to police.

He was taken into custody and ordered to undergo a 30-day psychiatric assessment.

He’ll be back in court next month in Moncton.
