Thanks to explosive growth in recent years, the Ryan Street area of Northwest Moncton has gone from a country setting to city living.
Moncton’s urban planner Bill Budd says the city has been upgrading the area with new sidewalks and repaving to keep up with that growth.
“With the new schools there, and the growing subdivision, residents are going to want more services, recreation, and daycare services.”
The newest addition to the neighbourhood will be a new daycare centre which was approved by city council during a rezoning hearing.
The daycare will be built at 1210 Ryan Street and will have spots available for 60 youngsters along with 6 staff members.
