A routine traffic stop helped New Brunswick RCMP locate a significant amount of drugs and multiple firearms.
A card evaded Codiac Regional RCMP in downtown Moncton on May 5, narrowly avoiding a collision with another vehicle.
Two days later, the car was located on Main Street, containing what’s believed to be crystal methamphetamine, cocaine, cash and two loaded handguns. Police stopped a man moving towards the vehicle and say a 30-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
On May 7, Ryan Marr-Melanson was charged with illegal possession of a firearm. He remains in custody and will reappear in court on May 12.
