Riverview’s Clean-Up Month Is On — Get Outside and Make a Difference

Riverview is in the middle of its annual Community Clean-Up Month, and there’s still time to get involved before it wraps up on May 20.

Kicking off every year on Earth Day, Clean-Up Month is Riverview’s celebration of environmental stewardship and neighbourhood pride.

Residents, families, workplaces, schools, volunteer groups, and businesses are all invited to claim an outdoor space and give it a little TLC.

Participating is simple:

  • Register by calling 506-387-2024 or emailing parksandrecreation@townofriverview.ca to claim your area, then pick up a free clean-up kit at the Parks, Recreation & Community Relations office (55 Biggs Drive).

“There are still a few weeks left in Clean-Up Month and we’d love to see residents get involved. Grab a kit, claim a space, and get outside — it’s that easy. Every bag of litter collected is a win for Riverview’s green spaces and our neighbourhoods.” — Alicia Clarkson, Community Engagement Worker, Sustainability.

End the Month on a High Note — Zero-Waste BBQ at Coverdale Community Garden

To celebrate everything participants have accomplished this Clean-Up Month, the Town is hosting a zero-waste BBQ at the Coverdale Community Garden. All clean-up participants are invited to attend — and there will be plenty of prizes up for grabs, including a draw for a rain barrel.

It’s the perfect way to wrap up a month of hard work and connect with fellow residents who care about keeping Riverview clean and green.
